I created my facebook account long time ago to communicate with my friends and relatives as well as hoping to connect with my old friends and meeting new friends as well. Through this social media, my homesickness to see my immediate family, relatives and friends way back in the Philippines is no longer as bad as it was because I'm able to see and read what they are up to.
Lately, I'm kind of sad and disappointed (I guess) because some of the people I know whom I think who are not capable of writing hatred and using inappropriate words are now very blunt in writing it on their Facebook wall. I know it's their account and they can post whatever they want but all the people that are in your friends lists will be able to read it and the worst it seems like more and more people are doing the same thing. Meaning, you may have influence them in the wrong way which is should be the other way around. Often times, I don't even bother commenting to their messages. I just read it and shook my head.
Sometimes, when I read somebody posting bad words against somebody although they're just doing it to get even to his/her enemy, instead of feeling sorry for the one posting the message, I sometimes loss my respect to that person. It is mostly because of the inappropriate words he/she is writing/posting. It feels like it is so easy to write these "bad words" these days. Way back then, we have to think first before saying these words to someone we don't like or if we will utter these words our parents or elderly people that heard us using these bad words will surely reprimand us and will tell our parents of the bad words that came from our mouth.
Anyway, I am not saying that I'm an exception to these kind of people. In fact I am pretty sure I did posts some inappropriate messages in my Facebook wall. I'm just trying to lessen and hopefully eliminate it because I don't want my friends to think that I change for having no regards to other people's feeling. What you write in your facebook wall will define of who you are. If you write bad words against a certain person, anybody can take a photo of what you have written and spread it using the internet. It will not only affect you but also the people that you love and the ones that loves you, IT WILL CREATE PROBLEMS AND ILL-FEELINGS.
